1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website or app stores on your device. They help the site remember your choices, keep you signed in, or understand how the site is used. We use cookies on the SerpScope marketing website and in the SerpScope app where needed to provide and secure the service.

2. Why we use them

We use cookies to make the service work (e.g. keeping you logged in, remembering preferences), to protect the site and app (e.g. security and rate limiting), and, on the marketing site only, optional analytics if you accept them in our cookie banner. We only use non-essential cookies (such as analytics) after you have made a clear choice.

3. Cookie types

Strictly necessary: These are required for the site and app to function (e.g. session, authentication, security, essential preferences). They do not require consent under UK law but you can block them in your browser (some features may then not work).
Analytics: On the marketing site we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how pages are used. GA4 cookies are optional: they are not set until you accept analytics in our cookie banner. If you reject analytics, GA4 does not load.
Marketing: We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on the SerpScope marketing site or app.

Our marketing site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may set cookies for security, performance, or bot management when you visit. These are covered in the table below under "Security".

4. Cookies we use

The table below lists the types of cookies we use. Exact cookie names may vary as we update our infrastructure.

5. Consent and controls

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or allow cookies for specific sites. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site or app works (e.g. you may not stay logged in).

When we offer optional analytics on the marketing site, we show a cookie banner where you can accept or reject analytics. We do not use pre-ticked boxes or implied consent for analytics. Your choice is remembered (we typically use browser storage for the consent record) so you are not asked on every page load. You can change your mind using “Cookie settings” in the footer or on the early access page when available.
